We love the classic look of pearls. These glass rice pearls are so beautiful and come in so many colors, they are a wonderful alternative to freshwater pearls since their size is always consistant.  They are oval-shaped to resemble grains of rice and you can find them here in our store.

AJE Week 1 Earring Challenge

These woven handmade beads made by Peggy Lierheimer using Chinese Crystal, seed beads, and pearls. The woven bead was then combined with Swarovski Crystals to make this beautiful and interesting pair of earrings.

These colorful, one of a kind, funky lampwork beads are made by Jennifer of Dry Gulch Beads And Jewelry. It's always a surprise how the glass colors mix!! They are combined with sterling silver and Swarovski Crystals.



Chain and Leather Bracelet Class

There is so much to talk about that I don't know where to start. The woven chain and leather bracelet class was taught by our guest instructor, Kristin Girard.



Loved the contrast between the chain and leather as they all were really nice color combinations.
And then...

…we topped off our class with a little Chocolate Mousse.  What a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon!

I Believe In Pink

Sea glass, lots of sparkle, and PINK!  This vintage inspired necklace is youthful, fun and can be found here in our Etsy Store and the light pink sea glass can be found here.  Pink is the color of happiness.  Pink is light-hearted and yes, "I believe in pink!"

New Findings, New Possibilites

Look what's new!!!  Ornate rhinestone curved cross links in many colors and finishes, which can be found here.  Also, there is a blank, silver-plated, roped cross pendant and a dotted heart pendant, which can be found here in our store.  So many possibilites!!!



Interesting Pea Pods Created

The Pea Pod Pendant jewelry class was a huge success as seen in the above photo.  Beautiful and interesting pea pods were created as the ideas and designs flowed.  As always, it was great having Peggy Lierheimer, a very talented metalsmithing artist, teach the class.



And then, everything goes with a cupcake!!!



Button Bracelet and Earrings

Button, button, who's got the button?  This bracelet and earring set certainly does - and more!  Lately, we seem to be fascinated with buttons.  They really make the most interesting and vintage-looking jewelry.  The buttons are set on silver-plated filigrees which can be found here, and then linked together with jumprings and finished with a beautiful toggle.  The bracelet can be found here.



Torch Fired Enameled Leaf Earrings

These earrings, made with handmade happiness, were created with torch-fired enameling on antique brass leaf charms and have colorful hues of blue, yellow, and purple.  These earrings are 2½ inches long and can be found here in our Etsy Store.  The antique brass leaf charms can be found here.


Starting the New Year Off Right

This first week just flew by. It was filled with lots of creativity and new ideas.  We always enjoy hosting beading parties at our store and on Saturday a wedding party came in and made jewelry together, and they were all very fun and creative.  Watching them reminded us of all the reasons we love beading.
